FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What area of Missouri do you practice in? The firm is located in southeast Missouri. In general, we practice in those counties located between the Mississippi River and Springfield, and south of Farmington and Salem. If you have any specific questions regarding whether we practice in a particular area, please contact us. What counties do you practice in? The counties we regularly appear in include: Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, Howell, Iron, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Pemiscot, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard and Wayne. However, we have appeared in and practiced in many of counties in Missouri and, if you have questions as to whether we can assist you, please contact us. (View map) How are you paid? In general, attorneys are either paid on a contingency fee or by retainer with hourly billing. On some cases, this firm simply charges a flat fee. For most traffic tickets we charge a flat fee, although this subject to variation if it becomes necessary to conduct a jury trial. In criminal cases we quote an initial retainer fee that will cover the work up to but not including the jury trial. Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation and Social Security Claims are usually handled on a contingency fee basis. How do I find the firm? At the first stoplight turn left. When this road ends in a "Y" intersection, turn to the right on to Barron Road. At the second stop sign, the road ends and you will turn right onto Main Street. Our office is approximately 2 ½ miles down Main and is 0.7 miles from the point where Main becomes a brick street. The office is on the right. If you are coming in from the east, take the Business 60 exit into Poplar Bluff. Proceed through the first stop light and turn right at the next street, Broadway. Drive through the first stop sign until you reach a yield sign. You will turn left at the yield sign onto Main and we are the fifth house on the left. If you are coming from the south, you will be on Highway 67. At the intersection with Business 60, Pine Street, turn right. You will pass through 2 stoplights. After the second stop light you will take the next left-hand turn onto Broadway. Drive 2 blocks north on Broadway to the yield sign and take a left onto Main. We are the fifth house on the left. It is not possible to approach Poplar Bluff from the West.
